Charity for CHOP- Bloody Valentine Ball

Bloody Valentine Ball King and Queen

I love giving to charity and worthy causes in need.  So when I was approached by Dark Hills Events with the opportunity to donate my photography services to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) charity, I jumped at the chance.  At this event, Dark Hills was hosting a Bloody Valentine Ball at RUBA in Northern Liberties, Philadelphia.  Now you may be asking yourself, what’s a Bloody Valentine Ball?  Well, it is the union of an 80’s styled high school prom with a splash of immersive horror-themed role playing.  It sounds a bit different, but let me tell you, it is an amazing experience!

Dark Hills Events Puts on a Show!

Dark Hills Events hosts several scheduled and custom events throughout the year that focuses on bringing your favorite horror movie villains to life.  The interactive events leave their guests running, hiding and even fighting for their lives.  It can get pretty intense, but rest assured, no bodily harm comes to anyone involved.  As for the Bloody Valentine Ball, Dark Hills Events did not disappoint.  Horror villains such as Freddy Krueger, Michael Myers and Ghostface wreaked havoc throughout the night.  As awesome 80’s music hits filled the air, guests jockeyed for Prom King and Queen.  Of course, at the end of the night, the Queen was showered with the full Carrie treatment.

Charity for Children’s Hospital

Throughout the night, guests were given opportunities to bid on nostalgic horror memorabilia.  The auction included a signed Jason mask, signed Hellraiser portrait and many other collectibles.  All proceeds from the event went to CHOP: a wonderful charity in my opinion.  As for my involvement, I provided the 80’s genre senior prom photography ala carte to make the event more enticing to potential guests.  I mean what is a high school prom without prom photos, right?  It was so much fun interacting with the guests and allowing my photography to help further this event’s contribution to charity.  If you would like to make a contribution to this great cause, you can do so at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia website.  And if you have an event or upcoming charity, please connect with me.  I am thrilled to help.
