This charming wedding venue located only a half hour outside of Philadelphia.  It is the perfect mix of whimsical beauty and rustic elegance.  Your will love the lofty bamboo that flanks you as you start your long walk down over the stone bridge and down the aisle.  This woodland escape is a true gem of a venue!

There are some things you should know before booking though.  If you decide the Old Mill in Rose Valley fullfills your dream wedding style; then you should know that it has an exclusive catering service.  Fortunately, the food is also always good!  The catering service helps with some of the day of coordination for you but still consider hiring your own coordinator.

Be prepared to project your vows because there is a sound ordinance that the venue is very strict about adhering.  If you are looking for an intimate setting where it feels like it is just you and your hubby then this place is a perfect oasis!  This venue is worth it!


Picture your guests sitting at white clothed tables surrounded by ivy lined walls and moss covered stones.  White twinkle lights are all over the property both inside an out.  It will may your enchanted wedding sparkle!  Holly Hedge Estate is consistently rated among of the top wedding venues in the region.  Located only a little bit north of Philadelphia in New Hope they have been in business for over 20 years.

The property spans across 21 acres of luscious woods and beautiful gardens.  The on site inn has 15 rooms to accommodate any guests who are traveling from afar.  In the summer months you will find waterscapes greeting you along all the patios.  In the winter months you cannot go wrong with the cozy fire to warm you up.

Oh, and do not forget about the Hobbit House on the other side of the pond!  Fall is the perfect season to catch the sunsetting behind the trees and this adorable little structure. It does not get closer to a woodsy wonderland than this venue perfect for your fairytale wedding!

Pomme Radnor is a woodsy space that sits right on the Mainline.  It is located only a half hour outside of Philadelphia.  You will love the chic modern feel of this indoor reception space!  But in order to enter all of your friends and family will first need to cross the bridge enclosed by tall deciduous trees overlooking the pond.

One of the best features to this venue is how easily the ballroom can transform from a rustic canvas into your woodland paradise with the help of your florist!  Ivy covered grounds serves as the backdrops for you and your man at the ceremony space.  You might even get to see a swan swimming in the pond next door.

Directly within Philadelphia city border you will find the lovely Valley Green Inn.  It is nestled inside the forest of Wissahickon Park right along the bank of the Wissahickon Creek.  It is a perfect escape from the center city streets and skyscraping buildings.  Whether you are choosing your wedding venue or engagement session location, if you truly want to be surrounded by nature, this is a top contender!

After you say your “I do’s” you can even take a little hike for some alone time.  The park trails are completely adjacent to the venue.  Some of the best photo locations are just down the path and across the parking lot.  It will look like you are hiking somewhere on the Appalachian Trail!  Luckily it is so close that it will only feel like the two of you are strolling to your car after dinner.

If tall trees and a river overlook are on your list, then you need to check out this venue!  Penn Ryn offer 3 unique venue spaces; The Penn Ryn Mansion, Belle Voir Manor, and River’s Edge.  Each space offer it’s own advantages, and the interiors all have a modern ballroom feel on the inside.

But do not let that fool you, because there is a true forest vibe if you just take a short walk down to the waterfront.  The staff is extremely accommodating and your guests will feel right at home while to stroll around the property with your photographer.  There is over 100 acres to check out, and the captivating gardens around the buildings might keep you away from the whole reason you picked this space!

Whether you are looking for a forest dream venue or a romantic English garden vibe Parque Ridley Creek is going to amaze you both inside and out!  Although you can choose from 3 ceremony spaces, you will love the creeping vines lacing the stone walls of one of the popular spaces in the venue!

The building itself is known as the Haunting Hill Mansion and is surrounded by the lush woodlands of Ridley Creek State Park.  There are so many perfect photo spots in this gorgeous space.  It is a true local favorite!  You don’t need to be getting married there to check out this stunning beauty either because it makes a perfect engagement session backdrop too!  When it comes to finding your fantasy woodland wedding venue; this one is located just 45 minutes outside of Philly and you will not be disappointed.

The Horticulture Center in Philadelphia is a one of a kind space you need to consider!  Different from many of our other woodland venue choices because this space feels more like a South American jungle!  Your wedding can take place right inside a greenhouse.  You will love being surrounded by plants to say your vows!

Even though the inside might feel like a tropical oasis, just outside of the space the grounds are magnificent.  One of the best times to get married at this venue is actually what is normally considered an off peak month of April.  Why?  Well, have you seen the cherry blossoms?  Two rows of fully in bloom cherry blossoms creates an extraordinary picturesque backdrop for any bride!

This gorgeous tree filled, setting is unlike any other!  Your guests will be amazed with the treetop experience which is fully handicap accessible.  Sitting on 92 acres, it is conveniently located in the Northwest of Philadelphia with photo opportunities throughout.

The forest will feel like it is coming alive around you as you get to be immersed in the natural beauty of this space.  Some of Pennsylvania’s oldest and rarest trees grow here so make sure you save some time to just take it all in and explore this incredible land.

The Manor House at Springton Manor Farm is a little further outside of Philadelphia but it is completely worth mentioning!  The Manor House has true rustic chic, but walk down to the barn and you will find yourself walking along a treelined path that is remarkable in the Fall.

This venue has so much to offer.  It is quiet, elegant, romantic and charming!  Walk around wooded path at the pond and you will have remarkable reflection images to hang on your wall!  Or stay up at the house and let the trees frame the two of you kissing!  This venue is worth stopping by for engagement photos too!
